Schedule, schedule, schedule....

Well, people kept telling me that this would happen...just when you think you got her schedule figured out, it changes! Well, Gabriella has gotten her feedings down to every 4 hrs and none at night. Sleep schedule, well different story lol. Her mornings are still the same...getting up, eat, play for 45 min to a hour then back to bed for 2-3 hrs. The afternoon is a different story. She usually takes 2 45-1 hr naps but still isn't settling down till 11ish. The last few days she has been waking up around 4 am wanting to laugh and play. I can't do nothing but giggle at her but luckily I am able to get her back into a light sleep till about 630ish.

She is enjoying her new swing and Baby Einstein stationary floor toy lately. John says the "swing" is the best invention ever lol. Now I can try to cook without worrying about her screaming anymore which makes mommy's life a little easier!!!

Month 3 down for the count...

So I can't believe that tomorrow, Gabriella will officially be 3 months old. I have been getting told how fast your kid grows and now I believe it. Gabby is doing well. She is holding her head up completly with no help from us. John works with her everyday to develop her "walking skills". I wish we had a video camera but we are saving up to buy a fantasy dantsy new camera that John has had is eye on since Gabby was born. She is spacing out her feedings to 4 to 5 a day every 4ish hours. Sleep schedule, well she still sleeps a good chunk of the night but doesn't go down till around 11ish. She definitely has her morning routine down but we are still working on the afternoon. I have been back at work for 3wknds in a row. Gabby is giving daddy a little bit of a hard time but mommy is working with her during the week so hopefully she will start falling more into a schedule.

Christmas 2008

December has been a very exciting month! We got Grandpa Rendon to take some Christmas Photos at our house. Gabby was sleeping and she wouldn't wake up. We had fun decorating the house, including the outside which John did a great job! We took Gabriella to see Santa as well, and she slept as well LOL. Hopefully next year she won't be scared like the other 1 year olds we saw?!?!? Gabby started smiling in response to us smiling. She is starting to develop her own little personality. To my surprise, she has started sleeping a good chunk of the night. She will usually sleep at least 6 hrs at night which makes me happy!!! I am looking forward to when she is on a set schedule...but I know that is a few months away.

End of 1st Month

Well, Gabby is doing well. She is growing in length more than in width LOL. She is starting to wear 3 months clothes. It has been fairly easy going out and doing things during the day. She usually sleeps well during that time. She has been eating every 2 to 4 hrs increments. The good thing is she usually goes back to sleep at night when she is done. The only real toy she can enjoy is her bouncy seat. She doesn't really enjoy tummy time but is making strives in holding her head up.

First Bath

Gabby went to her 2wk check-up. She weighed 8lbs 5oz. We were so glad that she was gaining weight. Her umbilical cord came off that day so we were able to give her 1st full bath. She didn't cry and loved it. I was so excited. I am hoping that she is a water baby so we can have fun during the summer playing at the pool.

Baby Gabriella makes an entrance...

Gabriella Elise Rendon was born on October 29, 2008 at 11:40pm. She weighed 7lbs 12oz and was 20 inches long. I delivered at Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston. I knew she would come at night since I work nights. The delivery was very nice and was glad to have my husband and family at my side during this wonderful time in my life!

Hello Everyone

Hey guys...so I told myself that I was going to do this a long time ago but life is just calming down to where I can actually get on the computer on a regular basis.

Quick recap. Ok, so Gabriella Elise was born on October 29, 2008 at 11:40pm. John and I have had so much fun these last few months. Gabby has grown and matured in so many ways that it amazes me everyday.

Some quick little facts about Gabriella. Gabby loves the bath. We have never had any trouble and John usually takes on that duty. Gabby has proven to be really strong. She is holding her head up now with no help. She is definitely an active baby and likes to stand vs. laying down and playing. We work with her everyday on building her leg muscles. John gets her to walk all by herself with just holding her hands...it is really a site to see. She HATES tummy time so I think she is going to walk before she crawls (something John and I both did when were little).

Everyone tells me to enjoy these moments cause they grow up so fast. I believe that...I can't believe that she is already 3 months. So I am goint to try to post some catch up blogs so forgive me if they are late! I hope to be able to keep this up so everyone can see her grow like we do everyday!
